Our Rooms

Accommodation: We have 7 Bedrooms of which four have Tintagel Island, coastal and sea-views and two of these are Superior rooms with twin beds or 6 foot super-king size bed.
All rooms have free Wifi access, ensuite shower room, LCD television, refreshment tray, CD clock radio and hairdryer and each also has it's very own Victorian fireplace.
To ensure a comfortable nights sleep, the bedding is natural, pure white cotton and hypoallergenic and our custom made gothic-style beds have hand-crafted, pocket sprung mattresses so comfortable, you'll want to take it home with you!

March Special - Stay any Friday and Saturday in March 2012 and stay the Sunday as well for free !!

Tintagel is no doubt a magical place on its own. The breathtaking rugged coastline plays a major role as well as the suggestions related to its historical and mythological past. A perfect escape from every day rush life. Yet you need the right haven to enjoy such a lovely place and be sure the right place in Tintagel is the Avalon. We stayed two nights in an enchanting sea-view room and spent some pleasurable time sitting in front of the wide bow window with a view to the Tintagel Peninsula straight head and the St Materiana Norman church on the left. The (spic-and-span like the rest of the place, by the way) room was delightful with an original ceramic-tiled Mackintosh fireplace that was just a pleasure to watch. Relaxing beige, brown and light blue colours matching pillows, drapes and... tea mugs! A wide selection of in-room coffee, chocolate and teas. Then flat-screen TV, DVD and CD-ROM player (with a selection of discs available in the room, just in case you forgot to bring yours !). Probably the most comfortable King bed we ever slept in . What else? Oh, yes, the wonderful spa fragrances (we loved the rosemary and bergamot one) available in the compact but most functional en suite. The last wonder at the Avalon: the morning breakfast but we are not going to tell you more, you have to try it for yourself. Thanks Julie and Peter, you are friendly, kind, attentive and wonderful hosts who made ours a holiday to remember. We are sure King Arthur would choose your Avalon to sleep end on.
