Welcome to The Avalon
Peter and Julie welcome you to The Avalon guest house in Tintagel, a small, exceptionally friendly and informal, licensed bed and breakfast situated within the enchanting Village of Tintagel.
Originally built in Victorian times, The Avalon has been totally transformed over the last 2-3 years via a complete renovation and refurbishment and was finally redesigned using an eclectic mix of the traditional Victorian features with contemporary comforts and finished with a Gothic twist.
The Avalon guest house enjoys private car parking and lovely, peaceful gardens with stunning, almost panoramic westerly views through the Vale of Avalon to the coastline and sea beyond. To the left, St Materiana, a 900 year old Norman Church, can be seen perched high on Glebe Cliff and straight ahead, uninterrupted views of Tintagel Island, the birthplace of the legendary King Arthur and where the ruins of a 13th century castle stands. All are in an area designated by Europe as a Special Area of Conservation. We are also in an AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) and the Island and Castle are protected by the National Heritage.
